Developing staff, in particular leaders in an organisation is at the forefront of organisational priorities. Organisations want to ensure their staff are equipped with the right set of skills to be the most effective and want to ensure these are continually developing and evolving as they progress within their current or future roles.
When looking at effective leadership, the key skills required are often on a human element: authenticity, empathy, assertiveness, resilience, visionary, positivity, confidence. Emotional intelligence underlies this set of skills and forms a fundamental part of leadership effectiveness.
Our Insight programmes start at £750 and focus on the development and enhancement of emotional intelligence. Get in touch today to book a free consultation and no obligation quote.
Emotional intelligence is the ability to perceive, understand and manage our emotions and the emotions of others. More and more, emotional intelligence is recognised as the most important factor of success in the workplace and in particular in leadership effectiveness. It is a proven fact that emotionally intelligent leaders have teams that are more engaged and therefore more productive. Furthermore, emotionally intelligent leaders are more resilient, confident and satisfied in the workplace.
There are 6 core skills that underpin emotional intelligence.
* Self-awareness
* Awareness of others
* Authenticity
* Emotional Reasoning
* Self-management
* Positive influence
Contrary to some beliefs, emotional intelligence is not innate, it is a skill that can be learned. But there is big difference between learning this skill and applying that learning to real life and real problems. The most powerful way of developing emotional intelligence in leadership is therefore through experiential learning.
Leaders first need to understand their strength and weaknesses in emotional intelligence, focus on particular skills to improve and put this into practice with constant reflective learning and feedback to better refine them.
Our INSIGHT emotional intelligence programmes start at £750.
At Questline, Our INSIGHT programmes are aimed at developing emotional intelligence and leadership. We are certified in delivering full Genos emotional intelligence assessments that will assess the emotional intelligence of each leader through self-assessment and 360 feedback. Through these assessments, our coaches will guide you through areas of focus towards developing core skills and design an action plan unique to each participant.
We offer various interventions to improving emotional intelligence ranging from 1-1 coaching, group workshops or our unique Leading with Emotional Intelligence Events. At the end of the programme, each participant will be able to undertake a second emotional intelligence assessment which will give concrete evidence of the development journey.
We can also run emotional intelligence assessments as part of talent management or selection processes.
